I’m Max Heyer. I live near Cologne with my wonderful girlfriend, our dog, and our cat.

I founded enum to give Europe a cloud of its own - designed, built, and operated here. The most ambitious work I have taken on. Before that, I ran Wunder Software, a small software development agency.

I write about digital sovereignty, infrastructure, datacenters, europe, open-source, and the boring details of running systems that don’t break.
